Corregidor Island. March 2012

I just got back from a cruise to Corregidor Island. I actually thought I’ll never get there because the morning before my trip, my mum (along with everybody at home) gave the feeling of being very luxurious. Actually, for an outside the classroom activity, it really is expensive; plus I think that this particular kind of learning is a privilege. Sad. L
But what's in Corregidor we have to learn? Well, the island was the Filipino and the American soldiers' barracks during the WWII. it is now 'preserved' to commemorate everything relevant that happened during that period.
But anyway, the following photos are the proof of how I took advantage of it. (Photos by Sab Apolinario

Douglas McArthur's statue in the lower  part of the island.

Classmates and I in front of a battery--their term for weapons this big. Batteries are found almost everywhere in the island.
BTW, these batteries are named after several late heroes of the WWII--all of them  are Americans.
The winds are blowing wild there.
cool photo, taken from the other end of a canon in Battery Way.

So, i decided to end this post already. I'm answering SET and I can't focus uploading photos here. Just visit the island and experience everything yourself. :)
